Cameron Grimes, Director

Before founding Augustine Noble, director Cameron Grimes worked first for the National Symphony Orchestra at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. Later, he worked for a concert touring company where he organised and managed international tours for many prestigious orchestras and choirs such as the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra, and the famed German boychoir, Windsbacher Knabenchor. Cameron also managed music for special events, including the Nelson Mandela memorial service at the Washington National Cathedral, and the “Raise it Up! Anthem for America” choral festival with world-renowned composer and guest conductor, Eric Whitacre. In 2015, he was appointed Festival Manager of the Prague Summer Nights Young Artists Music Festival in Prague, Czech Republic. With over sixteen years of concert touring experience, Cameron has toured with a myriad of orchestras, choirs, and other musical ensembles in over twenty countries throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.

As a cellist, Cameron earned a Bachelor of Music from East Carolina University and a Master of Arts from the Royal Academy of Music in London. He also grew up singing as a choirboy and later worked at an Anglican church as the tenor choral scholar in the parish choir. Having established himself as an enterprising chamber and orchestral musician he performs regularly with ensembles in the UK and abroad.
